DayCoach Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the DayCoach app ("DayCoach", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. DayCoach is a habit and task tracking app for iPhone, published by PlanetShop Pty Ltd By using DayCoach you agree to the practices described here.

The short version

DayCoach is designed to keep your information on your own device. It has no user accounts, no login, and no servers of ours that store your data. Your habits, tasks and progress stay on your iPhone. We do not collect them, and we cannot see them. The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google collects some device and usage information to provide those ads. You can remove ads with a one-time in-app purchase.

Information stored on your device

When you use DayCoach, the app saves your content locally on your iPhone. This includes the habits and tasks you create, your reminder times, your streaks, badges and history, and your app settings. This information is stored only on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and DayCoach does not use iCloud, CloudKit, or any cloud service of ours to sync or back it up.

If you delete the app, this on-device information is removed with it. If you have Apple's device backup switched on, a copy may be included in your own iPhone backup, which is controlled by you through Apple, not by us.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. There is no sign-up and no account. We do not operate a server that receives your personal information from the app.

Advertising

The free version of DayCoach displays ads supplied by Google AdMob, a service provided by Google. To show and measure ads, Google may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type and settings, and how you interact with ads. Google may use this information to provide, personalise and measure advertising. This processing is carried out by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's own policies.

You can read how Google uses this information here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you make the in-app purchase to remove ads, DayCoach stops showing ads.

Tracking and your choices on iPhone

On iOS, DayCoach asks for your permission before it allows ads to be personalised using your device's advertising identifier. If you allow tracking, ads may be personalised. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised. You can change this permission at any time in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Where required, DayCoach also presents a consent prompt about the use of your data for ads before ads are shown. You can also limit ad personalisation through your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.

In-app purchases

DayCoach offers a one-time purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple handles the payment. When you buy or restore the purchase, the app checks your App Store receipt on your device to confirm your entitlement. Restoring a purchase is handled by Apple's App Store and StoreKit.

Notifications

DayCoach can schedule reminders as local notifications on your device to prompt you about your habits and tasks. These are generated and scheduled on your iPhone. We do not run a notification server and do not send you push messages from our end.

Children

DayCoach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the free version shows ads supplied by Google, we recommend the app be used by teenagers and adults, or under adult supervision.

Data security

Because your DayCoach content stays on your device, it is protected by your iPhone's own security, such as your device passcode and Apple's on-device data protection. No method of storage is completely secure, but we do not transmit or hold your habit and task data ourselves.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information that is held about you. Because DayCoach keeps your content on your device and we do not collect it, you can exercise the most direct control yourself: edit or delete your habits and tasks in the app, delete the app to remove its stored data, adjust or withdraw ad-tracking permission in your iPhone settings, or remove ads through the in-app purchase. For the advertising information handled by Google, please use the Google links above or contact Google. If you have questions about your rights, you can contact us using the details below.

Third-party services

DayCoach relies on services from Apple (the App Store, in-app purchases, and iOS system features) and Google (AdMob advertising). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. This policy covers DayCoach only and does not govern how Apple or Google handle information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
